My name is Lauren and I live in a little town in middle Georgia. I grew up moving a lot and lived in some interesting locales so I'm constantly surprised to find that I kinda like living out here in the middle of nowhere.
I'm married to my best friend and soul mate.
Even then, it's still really hard work. We have three kids (which is even harder work), two dogs and a cat.
Right now I don't have house plants because I don't want to keep anything else alive.
I have been blogging on and off since 2011. Originally I started the blog as a platform to start a closet organization business. Then it shifted to more of a style blog. After a while it was hard to stay focused, stay engaged, stay creative. Blogging started to feel like a chore, so I stopped.
As I write (revise) this I so much has changed. I have found myself, found my passion, left my corporate job, and am pursuing life as a writer in the margins and sometimes white space of motherhood.
I began blogging to develop a creative space for myself, a time capsule for my daughters, an inspiration for my friends, a way to highlight my really unique and beautiful community, a safe place for busy women to touch down for a moment in their day. There is so much in life that is hard. I wanted to add something to the world that was fun. But like the seasons, all things change. Now I am doing a new thing, heading in a new direction. This blog will be a place to document my journey.
I'm still trying to find myself, define my voice. I am beginning to see that finding oneself is a life long endeavor, rather than a place to arrive. I invite you to join me for the journey.
